I grew up in Stonington, Connecticut, where I went to school, learned to play tennis, and enjoyed spending time in the ocean. In effort to escape the dreary winters, I traveled south to attend the University of Miami. I majored in Magazine Journalism and received my B.S in Communication. After working in Miami for a year beyond graduation, I decided it was time for another drastic climate change, and moved to Denver. I received my teaching license through Metro State and was placed at Steck to do my initial teaching observations. My student teaching was also completed at Steck, and I was a paraprofessional there in second grade last year. I am privileged to begin my third year at Steck as the first grade teacher! Outside of school, I spend most of my time playing with my dog, Daisy, dabbling in different art projects and enjoying Denver's weather with my friends. I look forward to meeting and getting to know you and your children throughout the year!
